In 2025 we will be running our Junior holidays at Aldro School in the Surrey Hills, a beautiful old manor house with fantastic grounds.

We will be running 2 Junior holidays for those who are currently in School Years 6-8 (as of September 2024).

2025 holidays

JUNIOR A (years 6-8)

18-25th July

JUNIOR B (years 6-8)

26th July – 3rd August

Cost:  £499

Cost

The holiday costs £499 which includes full board and all activities (but does not include the cost of travel to and from the holiday). If the cost would prevent you from coming, please do contact us regarding a bursary. To avoid disruption to groups and activities, we are generally unable to accept bookings for only part of the holiday.

People

Between 45 and 70 young people come on each of the holidays drawn from a variety of schools in London with which we have links. Please enquire to find out if we have links with a particular school.

There are lots of newcomers on every holiday and we work hard to provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Each person is part of a small group of boys or girls with two or three Leaders assigned to look after them. Activities are often done together with those in the same small group.

The holidays are led by the LDN staff team, assisted by a large team of (DBS checked) volunteers including many school teachers and undergraduates.

Location

Our Junior Holidays take place at Aldro School, a beautiful prep school situated near the village of Shackleford in the Surrey Hills. The school has excellent accommodation and wonderful facilities in its own grounds as well as a wealth of other activities nearby. You can see more details of the school and its facilities here.
