All campers are in dorms of 5-9 people of their own sex and year group. On Junior and Week Zero, these dorms will sleep in the same room. On Senior and ERW, campers are in dorm groups but sleep in 1-, 2-, or 3-bed rooms. We will do as much as we can to put your child in the same dorm/room as their friends that you’ve let us know about on your application. If your child is coming on Senior or ERW and would prefer to be in a room on their own please let us know.
The fun, games, and activities which are enjoyed together as a dorm provide a great environment to make new friends. We have lots of new people join us each year so your child is unlikely to be the only one new to LDN! With at least two adult leaders per dorm, everyone is cared for and looked after.
No. Some who come on our holidays are keen Christians who want to be encouraged in their faith. Some are firm atheists who come to enjoy the activities. Most are still thinking things through for themselves. All are welcome and treated with respect whatever their viewpoint. All attend the short main gatherings which happen twice a day, with most of the day being spent in games and activities.
